Day 18 By The Numbers
*According to the car's trip computer
Well, you may have guessed it already - but we made it! Seems like Brett has forgotten about our loyal readers, and wasn't concerned that you all would think we'd been stuck in Franklin, KY all this time :)
Our last day of driving was fairly uneventful. We were on the road pretty early (9:25! Is that a record for us??) because we had to switch over from Central to Eastern time and wanted to make it to Louisville in time to have go to lunch with Uncle Curt and Aunt Allison - Fin was very excited to meet them.
Almost to Louisville, we passed a "Used Cows for Sale" sign, we didn't stop to check out the used cows though.
We made it to Louisville a little later than planned, but had a nice lunch at a Greek cafe around 12:30. We stayed a little over an hour to hang out, and then were on the road again for our last little stretch.
Our last stop before our final destination was at Devou Park in Covington, KY to get one last family picture from our trip - and we thought that the park overlooking Cincinnati was an appropriate place. We made it a very quick stop, as we were all very anxious to arrive! All of our vacationing made us forget about rush hour traffic though, but luckily we weren't delayed very long. We arrived home in plenty of time to have a nice big dinner at Skyline Chili! So happy to be home!
**In case you are wondering - the license plates we never found were Delaware (which we saw 2 days after we got to Cincinnati!), Massachusetts, North Dakota, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
