Day 14 was another one of our travel days, so not much to report. We left Big Spring and headed southeast towards Austin. Instead of pumpjacks lining the road, we were suprised to see acres and acres of windmills populating the farmland (apparently there's a lot of wind power in Texas). On top of that, as soon as we left Big Spring the roads got more exciting with rolling hills and trees and wildflowers. It was like we'd entered another state.
We rolled into Austin around 5:20pm and checked into the Austin Motel. As soon as we had the car unloaded, Jess got a call from Heidi to come to her house for a BBQ. So, we got ourselves ready (which took over an hour, as usual) and headed over there for the evening. We even forgot to take a family picture for the day. We'll have to remedy that tomorrow.
Tomorrow: Wedding day in Austin
