Day 8 was the first wedding of our trip: this one was for Greg Meyer, one of my longest friends (I think we've known each other since second grade and were college roommates). We started off the day by doing a load of laundry at the hotel and the boys headed off for the batting cages to burn off some pre-wedding nerves. It was a beautiful day weather-wise (mid-70's and sunny), but way below the expected temperature for Fresno. While we were gone, Jess finished up the laundry and lounged around the hotel. Then we had a longer-than-expected trip to In-N-Out for some lunch, although Jess and the others in our car all had chic-Fil-A (wow, lots of hyphens in that lunch).

After that there was a lot of scrambling to get ready for the wedding: showering, ironing, dressing the baby, etc. Fin took his first shower of the trip and was NOT happy about it. I think we caught him just as he was falling asleep and he did not like getting thrust under the water in that state. But he survived, and was fresh and clean for the wedding.

The wedding was held at the Fig Garden Golf and Raquet club. The setting was beautiful (as was the bride) and the wedding itself went off without a hitch and took all of 8 minute and 25 seconds - possibly a new record. Then the celebration continued with drinks, dancing, merriment, and moustaches. The only real issue with the whole night was the weather. The wind was so cold that I had to run to the car to grab our coats and a wintery outfit for Finely to make sure we were warm enough. We may look a little ridiculous in the pictures, but at least we enjoyed ourselves.
