Since we missed our breakfast taco opportunity on Saturday, we decided we'd go out and get some on Sunday before hitting the road. The night before, Marty and Graham had recommended Maria's Taco Xpress, so we decided to give it a shot. As we were getting ready to leave, Heidi texted Jess that some people from the wedding were getting together at Maria's for some brunch. It was meant to be!

We arrived and the line was pretty long, but we waited it out and ordered some food before Heidi and PJ showed up. Jess picked her own tacos with potatoes, bacon, and cheese, and I ordered two of the Migas tacos. It was a really cool atmosphere (band playing, 'shack'-like decorations, etc). The tacos were delicious, and just what we wanted. We were talking about making them on our own more often. Can't wait for that! Heidi arrived right as our food came out, so we ate and chatted for a while, then said our goodbyes and headed out for the road again.

I hate to say it, but breakfast was the highlight of the day. Well, except for the car passing the 100,000 mile mark. I guess that was pretty exciting. We drove through Dallas on the way to Texarkana and snapped a couple of lousy pictures.

To spice up this post, I looked up some interesting stuff about Texarkana. First, it's actually two cities (Texarkana, TX and Texarkana, AR) that form the Texarkana Metropolitan Statistical Area. There's a street down the state line that runs through the city. Second, there's two La Quintas on the same street, one in Texas and one in Arkansas. The Arkansas one has way better reviews. That's some handy information for next time you're passing through the Texarkana Metropolitan Statistical Area.
